Sea Kayaking
IWLS sea kayaking expeditions explore some of the most remote and scenic waterways in the world! From paddling with whales in warm tropical waters to watching a glacier calve into a granite fjord, IWLS sea kayaking courses capture the essence and beauty of these wilderness areas.
The leadership and guide training courses focus on technical skills and judgment as they pertain to kayaking in a variety of ocean environments. The IWLS educational model is student centered, collaborative, and experiential. Its foundation lies in decades of technical instruction and leadership training around the globe!
Our sea kayaking lesson plans incorporate American Canoe Association, Wilderness Education Association, and International Wilderness Leadership School curriculums. Upon completion of our sea kayaking courses, participants will have a solid skills foundation and be eligible to receive certifications.
Sea kayaking courses can be combined with any of our other leadership and guide training courses for a semester of university credit!
