Wes was Born and raised in Utah and is equally at home climbing desert sandstone as skiing the steep and deep. His uncommon enthusiasm and knowledgeable respect for Alta’s world class terrain comes from 20+ years on skis in the Wasatch. Wes’s training includes National Avalanche School certification, Wilderness Medicine Institute EMT training and Wilderness First Responder certification. He guides back country skiing, ice climbing and snow camping trips in Utah and rock climbing, mountaineering and glacier trekking in Alaska. Wes also trains climbing guides for AMG in Mexico and Alaska.
