High & Low Angle Rescue

IWLS teaches full spectrum of high- and low-angle rescue courses for a variety of environments.

With over 25 years of experience leading expeditions and training professionals, we pride ourselves in our safety precautions and responses in the mountains. Our low- and high-angle rescue courses give participants a solid foundation of skills through hands on learning in the field for both mountainous and climbing scenarios, alike.

High & Low Angle Rescue

High Angle Rescue

This course teaches advanced rope rescue techniques for vertical terrain. Students will practice and participate in numerous high angle rescue scenarios using litters, hauling systems and lowering systems. Students will practice building a variety of different anchors and managing complex rope systems.

    Low Angle Rescue

    This course covers basic rope rescue as it applies to the mountain environment. You’ll learn about anchor building, belay techniques, rappelling and utilizing mechanical advantage for raising systems.
